Priority Ambulance, the nation’s second-largest EMS provider, today announced the appointment of Brendan McNiff as West Region Regional President. McNiff brings more than 30 years of senior leadership experience across ambulance services, healthcare transportation, finance, operations, and strategic growth. In this role, he will oversee Priority Ambulance’s West Region, supporting local leadership teams, advancing operational performance, and strengthening the company’s continued focus on high-quality, patient-centered clinical care.
Throughout his career, McNiff has led multi-state EMS and healthcare transportation operations, managed complex growth initiatives, and guided organizations through operational transformation, acquisition integration, financial improvement, and market expansion. His background includes executive leadership roles with nationally recognized ambulance and healthcare transportation organizations, where he developed high-performing teams, implemented disciplined operating systems, and delivered measurable improvements in revenue, margin, accountability, and service performance.
McNiff’s appointment reflects Priority Ambulance’s continued investment in experienced regional leadership as the organization expands its presence and enhances support for communities, healthcare partners, field clinicians, and patients across its service areas. His operational background and deep understanding of regulated healthcare transportation environments will help guide the company’s West Region through continued growth while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, employee engagement, and clinical excellence.
“Brendan is a proven operator and strategic leader who understands the critical balance between growth, performance, and patient care,” said Phil Koster, Chief Operating Officer for Priority Ambulance. “His experience leading large, multi-state ambulance operations, building accountable teams, integrating complex organizations, and improving financial and operational outcomes makes him exceptionally well suited to support our West Region. We are excited to welcome him to the Priority family and look forward to the leadership, discipline, and field-focused perspective he will bring to our teams and the communities we serve.”
