Priority Ambulance, a leading provider in medical transportation and prehospital care, today announced the appointment of two accomplished human resources executives to strengthen its leadership team and advance its people strategy. Allison Washington has joined as Vice President of Human Resources, and Demetria Hazlett has been named Director of Talent Acquisition.
Washington brings more than 20 years of progressive HR leadership experience across healthcare, higher education, and senior living organizations. Most recently serving as senior human resources manager and interim AVP of HR for a large ambulance provider and education management company, respectively. Washington supported more than 3,000 employees across six states. Throughout her career, she has successfully led large-scale organizational transformations, reduced turnover through innovative engagement strategies, and advanced diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Hazlett, a SHRM-SCP certified professional and board-certified coach, brings more than eight years of leadership experience in human resources within healthcare and EMS. She most recently served as Human Resources Business Partner at a healthcare system in Memphis, Tenn., where she supported a workforce of more than 1,200 employees. She holds dual master’s degrees in leadership & human resources development, as well as industrial/organizational psychology, and is currently completing her PhD in I/O Psychology. Her expertise includes employee relations, talent development, and labor strategy, with a proven track record of improving retention, streamlining onboarding, and advancing leadership capability.

In her role as Vice President of Human Resources, Washington will oversee enterprise-wide HR strategy, compliance, and workforce development initiatives. Hazlett, as Director of Talent Acquisition, will lead national recruiting efforts with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and building a sustainable workforce pipeline.
