National EMS Announces Andrew Poore as Vice President of Operations

National EMS is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Poore as Vice President of Operations for National EMS, recognizing his exceptional leadership and proven track record of operational excellence across the emergency medical services industry.

Poore has been serving in the interim Vice President of Operations role since May 13, where he quickly demonstrated the strategic insight, operational discipline, and people-first leadership that define National EMS. His formal appointment reflects the organization’s confidence in his ability to lead continued growth, strengthen clinical performance, and support team members across all service areas.

“Andrew has already made a significant impact during his time as interim Vice President of Operations,” said Sharon Schwarz, Regional President for Priority Ambulance. “His ability to lead with clarity, build strong operational teams, and drive performance while never losing sight of patient care and our people truly sets him apart. We are excited to officially welcome him into this role and look forward to the continued momentum he will bring to National EMS.”

With more than a decade of EMS leadership experience, Poore brings a comprehensive understanding of field operations, including clinical quality assurance, workforce development, strategic planning, and system optimization. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed complex EMS operations, strengthen partnerships with healthcare facilities, and consistently delivered measurable performance outcomes.

Prior to this role, Poore served in senior operations leadership positions where he oversaw statewide EMS operations, led performance improvement initiatives, and guided teams through growth and expansion. His hands-on approach, combined with a strong foundation in clinical operations and logistics, ensures a balanced and effective leadership style.

Poore is widely recognized for his commitment to developing strong teams and cultivating leadership at every level. He emphasizes mentorship, accountability, and professional growth, ensuring team members are equipped to delivery high-quality patient care while advancing their careers. His leadership philosophy aligns closely with National EMS’ mission-driven approach to service, teamwork, and excellence.

As Vice President of Operations, Poore will focus on advancing clinical excellence, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting the continued development of National EMS team members and leaders.
