Baptist Ambulance is pleased to announce that Steven Shedd has joined as Vice President of Operations.
Steven brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, spanning emergency medical services (ground and air) and hospital transfer center management. His extensive background includes key leadership roles with Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and Beacon Health System, where he successfully led Pedi-Flite, MedFlight, and hospital transport and communications teams.
Throughout his career, Steven has built a strong reputation as a hands-on, performance-driven leader with expertise in P&L management, workforce optimization, regulatory compliance, and patient throughput efficiency. He has developed and implemented innovative operational strategies to enhance unit-hour utilization, staffing stability, and response-time reliability, all while cultivating a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
In his new role, Steven will oversee all operational aspects of Baptist Ambulance with a focus on advancing operational excellence, employee development, and exceptional service delivery across the organization.
