Leading the Way
Founded in Alabama by Bryan Gibson, Shoals Ambulance marked the beginning of the Priority Ambulance family of companies. From our initial operations in Jefferson County, we’ve steadily grown to meet the emergency medical needs of Alabama communities, including securing a partnership in 2015 to provide 9-1-1 emergency response coverage for the City of Bessemer.
Our success stems from our commitment to clinical excellence and patient care. Our skilled team of EMTs and paramedics delivers life-saving pre-hospital care daily across our service area. We equip our crews with the latest medical technology and empower them with advanced clinical protocols, ensuring they can provide the highest level of emergency medical care in any situation.
Shoals Ambulance partners with KultureCity, a national nonprofit that trains first responders and certifies sensory-inclusive environments. Through this program, our team is equipped to recognize and support individuals with invisible disabilities or sensory needs during emergencies. This initiative not only complies with Alabama’s new statewide training requirement for first responders but also demonstrates our commitment to innovation and inclusivity in community care.
As a cornerstone of Priority Ambulance’s operations, we maintain rigorous quality standards while focusing on what matters most – the safety and comfort of our patients. Our teams undergo continuous training and education to stay at the forefront of emergency medical services. We regularly invest in upgrading our fleet and equipment to better serve our communities.
