Mt. Pleasant & Charleston's Elite Ambulance Service
Port City Ambulance was founded in late 2018 with a simple vision: to build a reliable, patient-focused ambulance service from the ground up. Starting with just three team members, the company began operations in January 2019, providing basic life support (BLS) transportation services and quickly earning trust through consistent, compassionate care.
As demand grew, Port City expanded its team and capabilities, adding advanced life support (ALS) services in 2020 and securing its first hospital partnership with East Cooper. While the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily slowed progress, the organization continued to build strong relationships with healthcare facilities and steadily expand its presence in the community.
In June 2026, the Port City Ambulance team became part of Medshore Ambulance Service, the largest ambulance provider in South Carolina and a member of the Priority Ambulance Family of Companies. With this new chapter, Port City Ambulance strengthened its ability to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care through enhanced resources, clinical support, and a broader network of healthcare partnerships.
