COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE. DEDICATED TO CARE.
Since its founding in 1945 by H.B. Hightower, Ambucare EMS has been a cornerstone of care in Bremen, Georgia, and the surrounding communities. Originating as part of Hightower Funeral Home, Ambucare evolved into Haralson County’s first licensed ambulance service in 1973, marking the beginning of a proud legacy in emergency medical services.
In 1995, under the leadership of Bill Hightower, the founder’s grandson, and his wife, Susan, Ambucare was established as Haralson County’s sole countywide ambulance service. The company achieved a significant milestone in 2002 by becoming the second ambulance agency in Georgia to earn accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS), an honor it has upheld for more than 20 years.
Today, Ambucare EMS is recognized for its exceptional team of EMTs, paramedics, and support staff, all dedicated to delivering high-quality care. Grounded in a family-focused ethos, Ambucare treats every patient with the same compassion and respect as a member of their own family, fostering a supportive environment for both patients and employees.
In 2021, Ambucare joined the Priority Ambulance family, further enhancing its ability to serve the community. As part of Georgia’s largest private ambulance provider, Ambucare continues to blend the resources of a larger organization with its deeply rooted commitment to personalized, community-focused care—a tradition of excellence that has endured for over 75 years.
