Priority Ambulance family of companies announced today that two cornerstone members are unveiling new updated logos to better reflect the operations’ rich history and commitment to exceptional medical services in their communities.

Kunkel Ambulance returns to its roots with a bold, retro-inspired design featuring the historic Keltic lion—a symbol that initially adorned the company’s earliest ambulances. This revival speaks to the continuity and respect for the organization’s founding principles. Kunkel Ambulance has served the Mohawk Valley region since 1939.

Trans Am Ambulance takes a different approach, developing a logo that combines the iconic Star of Life with a dynamic heartbeat symbol. The design speaks to the essence of emergency medical services. The Star of Life is the universal symbol of emergency medical services, and the heartbeat graphic captures the dynamic, life-sustaining nature of EMS work. The two images combined provide a visual promise of rapid response and quality care.

“These logos are more than graphics,” said Bryan Gibson, CEO and founder of Priority Ambulance. “They’re visual representations of our commitment to communities across New York. Each design tells a story of dedication, history, and our ongoing mission to provide exceptional emergency medical services.”

Launching during the 2025 EMS Week theme of “We Care. For Everyone,” these rebrands underscore the Priority Ambulance family’s commitment to serving diverse communities with professionalism, skill, and compassion.

The new logos will gradually be implemented throughout 2025 across the Kunkel Ambulance and Trans Am Ambulance fleet, facilities, and communications materials. For more information regarding Kunkel Ambulance and Trans Am Ambulance, visit www.priorityambulance.com/family-of-companies/.
