Baptist Ambulance is pleased to announce that Andrew Hoard has been promoted to West Tennessee Director of Operations for Baptist Ambulance. He will report to Scott Baxter, Vice President of Operations.
In his new role, Andrew will oversee the day-to-day 9-1-1 operations for Tipton, Obion, and Carroll counties, as well as the company’s regionwide fleet services.
“We are excited to see Andrew’s growth within our company as he assumes his new role as Director of Operations. Over the last year, Andrew has shown exceptional work ethic and dedication to our team as our Regional Office Manager overseeing fleet operations, supply and logistics, and payroll and attendance. His leadership experience in both Fire and EMS will be a great asset as we continue to grow here in West Tennessee,” said Scott Baxter, Vice President of Operations.
Prior to his promotion, Andrew served as the Regional Office Manager for Baptist Ambulance. Before joining the Baptist Ambulance team, he served as the Director of Service for FirstCare Ambulance Service in Memphis TN. Additionally, he has served as Operations Chief for Emergency Mobile Health Care, Planning Section Manager for Tennessee Task Force One, and Training Officer for Shelby County Fire Department.
In addition to his more than 27 years of experience in the Emergency Medical Services field, Andrew served in the Airborne Infantry as a Combat Medic and Air Defense Artillery for the United States Army and Army National Guard.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Science, Training, and Prevention from the University of Florida.
