Medshore Ambulance is pleased to announce that Thomas Cathcart has been named Operations Manager for Medshore Ambulance for their Columbia, South Carolina operations.
As Operations Manager, Thomas will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Columbia operation, including increasing ambulance response efficiency, assisting with recruiting, screening new hires, and focusing on professional development coaching for employees.

As a seasoned EMS professional, he not only understands the complex needs of our patients but also the unique challenges our employees face. Before joining the Medshore Ambulance team, Thomas dedicated his career to public service. He served as a senior paramedic and part of the Emergency Response and Public Information teams for Richland County Emergency Services. His commitment extended beyond his professional duties, as he also volunteered with Fairfield County Fire Services, Town of Winnsboro Public Safety, and Columbia Richland Fire Service, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to the community.
In addition to his public service professional career, Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Francis Marion University and a master’s degree in public administration from Columbia International University.
