Medical transport company, Priority Ambulance, announced today the expansion of its services to Blount County with several familiar faces among its local leadership team.

Priority Ambulance’s expansion will bring more than 20 jobs to the area. The Blount County office will house Mercedes-Benz ambulances, the best emergency vehicles on the road, equipped with the latest in lifesaving technology, including LIFEPAK cardiac monitoring devices. In Blount County, Priority Ambulance will offer nonemergency ambulance transport options, including basic life support, advanced life support and critical care transport.
Longtime Blount County resident Rob Webb will serve as Priority Ambulance’s vice president of Tennessee operations. Webb is currently completing his second term on the Blount County School Board. He has more than 27 years of experience in emergency medical services and, prior to joining Priority, Webb served as division general manager of Rural/Metro of East Tennessee. He was appointed by the governor to two terms on the Tennessee EMS Board.

Ron Parker will serve as director of operations for Blount County. Parker has nearly 30 years of experience in the emergency medical services field. He is a Blount County resident and was most recently market general manager and head of operations for Rural/Metro’s Blount County EMS operations.
Parker is a graduate of the 2010 class of Leadership Blount and serves on the Board of Directors for the Blount County Rescue Squad. He is a member of the Tennessee Region II EMS Directors Association, the Tennessee Region II Homeland Security Committee and a Tennessee EMS Ambulance Strike Team Leader.
